few days ago, the world evangelist Evang, Rick Warren said the whole would be changed if we abandon our religious affiliations and work together as the human race completely whether Muslims or Christians. this is indeed a pointer that our religious orientations is not a factor to consider if our nation must see better days.

hmm, great write up. i am so mad with the way we are behaving as citizens of this country and most imporatntly as youths. everyday, we keep on hearing worse and worst things because like chairman sai, negligence.everybody has several reasons why the government has failed. we know they have failed but what are we dooing about their failure?

Mark Twain onece said" There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist" pessimist is what majority of Nigerians have become. we do not think it can get better because of negligence. we run to churches and mosques daily in search of answers to prayers forgeting that we are the answers to that which we have been praying for. good leaders do not jumb from the sky. let us all rise to the occasion and let us try to make our votes count.

i believe that 2011 will be the beginning of another political revolution in our land. God bles this great country.

Great idea. What is more important than settinp up a political party however is setting up one that can win elections. I hope that as you are drawing up the blue prints for this party, you also begin to consider the issue of national spread. All the same, great move.

well we see another form of negligence in the death of 11 Nigerians at UCH Ibandan at the weekend. what do we say about this, whose fault? the problem that led to this we all know, who will respond to their cries? it pains me that people who could have contributed to the growth and advnacement of our dear nation just die because some people some where have refusde to fulfill their own part of the bargain. we need people that are sensitive to our weaknesses as a nation.

Definitely, i'm on the LORD'S SIDE! But come o, u've said it all. Let's leave d political intonation of this message sef..... Have we not all learnt & believed that silence means consent - I guess that says it all! Don't u think we've all consented to what we've been receiving from our leaders? Should we not fight for the right cause? Waow, we'll get there, as long as we remain on the LORD'S SIDE!

There is going to be a great awakening, there will be an emergence of a crop of brand new nigerians and a great nation nigeria. As for me and my household, we are heeding to this clarion call. This is the time to stand up and salvage the destiny of this nation from the "ajegun 'jerans". All we need in this nation is a focused leadership and enlightened followership. LETS STAND UP FOR THE TRUTH N THE EMERGENCE OF A NEW NIGERIA. YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!

We will talk, we will blog, and we will write, we will complain, and we will make plans; but more than that, we will DO. In the words of Neil Eskelin, achievement requires more than a vision – it takes courage, resolve and tenacity. I enlist to fight for freedom today, and if you are out there and still doubting: I say (words borrowed from the OAU student union) - my time will pass, and your time will pass, but the collective history of our times will remain... Are you on???

one tol we need to sustaiin this renaisance is unity and committment to this cause that binds us together-THE CHANGE WE NEED. irespective of our ethnic, cultural, social, religious, educational, geopolitical an oter orientations, we must as a matter of importatnce be united and have one voice and be committed to this cause. if we fail to speak and do something to sustain this wind and spirit of change, generations unborn aill curse us in our graves when we are no more. I have resolved to leave behind, not just an empire of wealth and riches, but the wisdom that helped me thrieve in this storm and the courage that i employed in stating the truths behind the fact and that is what the generation that will come afer me will need to be sucessful. Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Anthony Enahoro, Dr. Nnamdi Azukiwe, Chief M K O Abiola, Pa. Samuel Akintola and others, (all late) fought for our independence but not freedom becaue today in this country of ours, we are not free but where is the wisdom that brought us independence in their children? where is concord airlines and newspapers, where is the M K O dynasty? and many more of the legacies they left? there are no where to be found. the wisdom that brought us independence in display? our voice will not cease until we are heard in the four cornres of this world that SOME PEOPLE SOME WHERE ARE STILL PASSIONATE ABOUT THE CHANGE NIGERIA NEEDS...trusted and efficient leaders. Samuel Akintola and others, (all late) fought for our independence but not freedom becaue today in this country of ours, we are not free but where is the wisdom that brought us independence in their children? where is concord airlines and newspapers, where is the M K O dynasty? and many more of the legacies they left? there are no where to be found. the wisdom that brought us independence in display? our voice will not cease until we are heard in the four cornres of this world that SOME PEOPLE SOME WHERE ARE STILL PASSIONATE ABOUT THE CHANGE NIGERIA NEEDS…trusted and efficient leaders. I AM ON THE LORDS SIDE!

@ Uncle Deolu. God will increase your understanding and give you an excellent spirit.

I am sure on the Lord's side. I agree completely with this vision and I'm willing to pursue it God helping us. This nation must become transformed. I get so bitter each time I see our police officers(those meant to be protecting lives and properties) harrass citizens and extort money from them or get delayed for no reason on the road in broad daylight. I get bitter at all the corruption I see around. We need those who can cause the change we need. 2011 must be different.

Deolu, its really good that you would write this post so soon after the last one on Pastor EA Adeboye. When I read that post, I just left this site shaking my head. It was that much thought provoking.

I know that the whitest, purest lilies grow out of the dirtiest, stagnant swamps but I couldn't understand why out of over 140 million Naija people, there can be only one 'influential' person known to the world. Our swamp should abound with lilies! Why?

It is because we are not awake to our own power as leaders. We have abdicated our responsibilities to charlatans who exercise power on our behalf as they will. We have refused to lead and are now being ruled by those who do not appreciate power.

It is indeed, our fault.

Finally, people are consenting to come to the Lord's side. Once upon a time in Israel, the midianites oppressed them for so long. After it became unbearable, so unbearable that men were threshing wheat in a wine press where no wind was available to separate the chaff from the grain, God raised up a deliverer in the name of Gideon.

When Gideon called, many people showed up to fight against the midianites, but only 300 were worthy. TODAY WE GIVE THEM NOTHING, TODAY WE TAKE FROM THEM EVERYTHING.

TODAY, NO NEW NIGERIAN DIES, TOMORROW THOUGH, WE MAY
