I typically write the title of my post before I start writing, that way it keeps me focused on what I really want to write about. Today however, I’m doing things slightly differently. I’m going to write the title after I am done. What I have in my heart this morning is a theme, and I’m certain that after I have transferred my thoughts and feelings to words, the title will appear.
The strong theme being expressed on my mind this morning is “Adding Memorable Value”. I have been publishing articles online now for a little over 3 years. My articles have moved from total obscurity to some level of prominence. I have also migrated from no comments to as many 10,000 plus comments. I have articles with single digit views, and articles that have over 100,000 views. I have written articles that can be classified as useless, written those that can be classified as moderately valuable, and I have written articles that have added memorable value. My heart desire from today, is to step up, and provide more content regularly that will enter into the class of adding memorable value!
I can write with humor, I can seek out interesting events and even make them more interesting. I could pursue entertainment, get you excited and give you gist to share in the office. I also have the option of providing news information, or even analyzing a movie. I enjoy it when someone gives good comments about an article I wrote, “inspiring”, “touching”, “moving”, “motivating” e.t.c. I love all these, but I desire more than these. I feel most delighted, when something that I wrote has an effect on people, that makes them not only hear, but take action! I love it the most, when they take these actions, and it launches them into success. That, is what I call memorable value! It’s what I want to add this year, it’s also what I believe you should develop your work into adding. Many people will cut out the fluff from their lives this year, what will retain people’s time and attention, is what is capable of not only getting a few good comments here and there, but can give real value and offer transformation!
I have met a few people who have derived real and memorable value from the things I have written. I remember a young man who approached me two years ago, and told me how stumbling on my website had given him two resolves. The first, to ensure that he read from beginning to end my entire website as his self development plan, and two, to stop participating in cybercrime and seek other legitimate opportunities for financial prosperity. He lived true to his commitments, and today he’s a transformed person.
I remember a number of other people, who saw my blog, were motivated to start theirs, and it has brought them untold fame and fortune. I have recieved mails, been met in meetings, had one to one’s with people who claimed that the value they got from particular articles was for them memorable and they have things to show for it!
I know people today, who have travelled abroad to do their masters, to start a new life, who tell me that was it not for my article on clubfreedom they probably would not have had the financial capacity to make the transition. I also fondly remember a number of people, who claim that it was my article on Nospetco that saved them tens of millions of Naira. Some have ventured into new business, got new jobs, and can trace the value back to where they felt it was added.
It is amazing how great a fire, a little fire can start. It is amazing how by getting out of our comfort zone, and haboring a desire to add value to others, we actually can! Weak value is better than no value, no doubt, but we must continue to hone our skills till it’s lethal enough to deliver memorable value more consistently.
So, over to you. What are you investing your life into, and what value are you adding? Are you offering memorable value? Have you helped anybody succeed? Are you giving anybody value in anyway? What are you saying or doing that has the capacity to change someone’s life for better? If you stop doing what you are doing today, will people just move to the next place where the value is offered or will they miss you terribly?
Think about it, offering memorable value is not rocket science. It starts first from a desire to want to do the same. Once you are able to cultivate the desire to add value to another life, the next step is to move. It’s difficult to steer a stationary vehicle. You need to get your car in motion before it can be steered. Even if God is behind the wheels of your life, you will only enjoy direction when you move. Many people are praying for God’s leading when what they need the most is to start the engines and get into motion. God is willing to lead, but are you willing to move? Once you start, you’ll always start small, don’t worry about starting small, beginning is half done. He that jumps up has started a dance. The coefficient of static friction is greater than the coefficient of kinetic friction – the force that gets you started is bigger than the one needed to keep you moving. Start!
If you are producing nothing you are good as dead. If nobody is deriving any memorable value from your service, your work or your existence, you are living dead. The dead are those whose absense would not make much of a difference to too many people. The dead are people that wether they travel or stay, it makes no difference. Stop locking up value inside of you, and being so busy struggling for mere existence. So, you work with a multinational, a meganational or a micronational, then? Are you offering memorable value there, or we can get someone else fresh from school to do your job at half the pay?
When I wrote “start” a while ago, what came to your mind? A business? Start it! A blog? Start it! An investment? Make it! A relationship, ignite it! Don’t stand and watch, move! Those that make moves make waves, no movement, no waves. Don’t get yourself into the half baked philosophy that working for more years and for more time is what will qualify you to be a good entreprenuer, it’s rubbish. The duration of time you spend as a cook doesn’t equate to proficiency as a teacher. You can’t learn how to be a mechanic from working hard and long as a carpenter. The best place to learn and to become better, is by starting, moving and doing. The idea never gets perfected ahead of motion. We figure it out and it gets polished as we move. To wait for the perfect moment, to wait to perfect the idea or the concept, is delusional thinking. Perfectionism is a delay tactic utilized by wimps!
I am making a commitment to you, and to myself. That I will step up! I will make it increasingly difficult for you to read from here, and remain the same. I love your cool comments, but I want to help you transform. I long to be stopped and told, that your life has radically transformed by reading my site. I want you to not only say it, I want you to have tangible proofs. I will inspire you some days, and I will anger you on some others. You need to decide to love me, irrespective of how I make you feel per time, this is the way you’ll get the best from me. Even Jesus was said to have been born for the rising and the falling of many. It is natural that in the same process that elevates some, some are offended and drawn back. As with all things however, the lot we get is the one we choose. A disciple had to betray Jesus, no where was it mentioned that it had to be Judas Iscariot. I want to add tangible and memorable value, I want you by inference to do the same!
This year, I am going to carry along at least 300 people into financial prosperity. I’m going to carry along many more into a liberation in their thinking! Many young graduates will not take a Job and be better for it. Many will refuse to settle for what they studied, but will pursue careers in their passion and get it! Many that desire further learning but have not found the connecting point to it, will connect it. Many that are desirous of a relationship with their ideal partners will find them. People will have personal inspiring stories, levels will change, lights will shine. In the midst of scarcity, people will experience abundance. Value will be added, and it will be tangible. What goes around does come around. The hand that lifts cannot be down. I have seen immeasurable value added to my life in the years past, and because of my commitment to even step it up, I am confidently assured, that I also, will not be left out!

I have been able to be a source of help to countless of people online. I must say that is one of the main thing that keeps me online for so many hours. Sometimes, i forgo food and sleep just to meet someone else needs online. Adding values to people’s life is my passion and i must fulfill it.
