Is this Deoluakinyemi.com?

Hello Friend, thanks for all your contributions – reading, visiting, commenting, sharing, printing, forwarding e.t.c that you have made. All this has helped www.deoluakinyemi.com get to where it is today. This is still the same www.deoluakinyemi.com, only now the picture is more recent, the theme is completely locally made, and it’s Celebrating 3yrs of blogging history.
We are however not stopping here… we are going on, and planning to be bigger and better. I can’t do it alone still, it will be with your help and your support. So I’m using this opportunity to thank you, and to ask you for your continued support. It pays to change things once in a while, that way we can rekindle our excitement of having something new, and we can get fired to do more and more.
First of all, I’ll need your comments on this new look, it’s still work in progress, so your comments will surely add some value. I’ll appreciate every comment, great, good, bad and ugly.
I’m still in the UK, should return shortly… for some before you read this post. I have visions of where I want to take this site for it’s next level. I have other blogs that are about to be birthed as well, so I can take my non developmental gist somewhere else
. I’ll be counting on you to help circulate this with as much intensity as possible (this site, that is). We should be able to match American rankings on our local blog, if our people are properly informed. We can! If you need link love, let me know, I’m in the best of moods this week. We can exchange links, we can be a part of each others success stories.
There are lots of people I want to thank, I can’t do it injustice by doing it passively. I’ll like to dedicate a post to thank all the principal actors in the setting of this stage, in getting here. I want to thank also the principal actors to be, in taking this from where it is into where it’s going to be. It’s called Nu Media, and we will lead that frontier, you and I – Get your blog, and let’s keep the network growing!
I have posted some things lately that I intend to act upon. If you have commented on this blog before expect a mail from me some time soon. I want to know you better, and I want to start an active offline networking with the people who have been on this site. There are some projects that I’m brooding on, and I want you to be the first to know. The biggest companies in the Nigeria of tomorrow are still in infancy now and some are not yet born at all.
It’s all ramble today… I have a number of articles that are due for publishing, but I need to do them when I’m not in a hurry to get to Waterloo. Maybe tonight, maybe tomorrow. If you ask me though, that what thought do I want you to leave with today, it’s one bubbling over in my mind.
- Desire is possibility seeking expression, or function seeking performance.
Understand this… whatever it is that your heart desires… is a proof of a possibility that is seeking to express itself. There is also a function of your body, your soul, your mind that is seeking performance. Don’t shut out your desires… they were put there as reminders that it is possible!

Congrats on your 3yrs of blogging
Great look but I love the old site better though.
The colour was perfect.
It would help if the navigation pane is shited upwards so that one can see the categories beside the latest post.
Cheers
Good new look….
Yeah you are most welcome…I would keep visiting as I am so confident that new things would always be waiting for me…
Thumbs up.
Hmn 3 yrs very significant number.Congratulation,But wait i thought the colour will be green white green.shei
Congrats on your 3 years of blogging. I like this new theme. Glad to know it’s proudly nigerian. I would so glad to exchange links with you. My Forum is http://www.faithfulsnetwork.com/ . Thanks so much and wish you all the best.
Cheers!
Hmm… Am I not in green white green?
I just want the whole thing to be colourful, so that it will be friendly on the eyes.
It’s still work in progress though… so maybe I can still die my hair green
Good new look Deolu, It’s a good one, but I think there should be some green-white-green somewhere too…. Cudos!
Oga! You do well. Tight look.
This is interesting and reflects your profile better.
Congrats for this great leap.
It’s catchy, attractive, looks more matured and professional. Fantastic layout.
I think the layout is good. The location of the layout will ensure people look around a bit and not just jumping on article.
I see the area of Ads and I think its better to give advertisers value for their money.
Congrats again, well thought site though this does not mean there will not be need for improvement. I trust Deolu is always changing before need for change become obvious.
Kudos! bros
ohh this is lovely….nice change, though I second the green and white theme too, but i see they needed to match your clothes colour which work well but try with a new photo in the national colour and match the background and see if you like it.
…and we are still waiting at waterloo in the cold ooo.. so hurry oga!
mee
Chairman, i hail. First time commenting on your blog. The outlook is wow! I suggest as a patriot there should be green, white, green somewhere around. I like the business outlook. I need your assistance to start my personal blog. Safe trip
Hi Deolu,
I may not have much to say about this new site yet, but I must say thank you for changing it at all because personally I felt the old site was already becoming rather boring.
So it a major relief to see a new site.
Thank you.
I Love This…better deoluakinyemi.com…Nice combination of colors..I guess green by the sides and white in the middle will make deoluakinyemmi.com much better..
Keep ur head up sir..We are waiting for your other blogs a u said
i mean the blue sides should be green
@jesus freak, blue is ok, enough of all this “over-greenization” of everything Nigerian- sidewalks, official documents, periodicals e.t.c. haba! Countries with more emotional attachment to their flags have more color usage diversity than us, abeg, blue is just fine, any colour but green.
3 years don waka, you still dey carry go, nobody waka, many reader go solo, baba God o, na Him grace o, Na your case ooo….Adupe o….lol.
I was going to say that the old theme is becoming boring, and somehow congested. The new one is a lot better, and arranged properly.
I am loading this with mozilla, and discovered that the comment section does not align properly. I am sure guys at website Mesh are still working on it. Also, i think you could create a rotating ad widget that accomodates advert rotation if possible.
Please stay away from anything green. Most Nigerian websites are totally obsessed with it and putting on green shirt, or painting our website green does not make us patriotic. It only lubricates our patriotism.
by the way, please bring back the monthly archives as well. I have had to read every single piece of post since you started and the monthly archives did help me to do that.
cool, easy on the eye..some splash of green and white for do now…deolu no the carry last now!
Congratulations.
It’s catchy and attractive to the eyes.
Ur pics? Wonderful.
More grease to your elbow.
Hello Deolu,
This cool, simple and easy to navigate. Though I didn’t see your previous setting and format, but this one is commendable.
Gabreala
Deolu, well done.
@Chairman,
Nice one, this one looks more funky and has a professional touch. I don’t know much about colours but I think this change is cool and the quality of the content should be up to international standard.
Congrats.

The most constant thing in life, generally belived, is change. It is a proof of a regenerated mind as well. To me, it is also a proof that i can trust this site for update on personal growth, life changing motivational thoughts, entrpreneurship development, career to mention just a few. I am always challenged by your achievements. It reminds the truth that i can. You have become one of my mentors. Keep up the good work.
Deolu am speachless…this is so so outta here men, almost thot i got a wrong web page when i log on…nice one men its beautiful, a wonderful way to end the year and start a new one. keep it up bro
I like this theme, simple start and as you said will be moving to d next level with time. makes coming here feel like moving into a new house. Cheers
This looks great.
Congrats !!!
I never knew i was in for a surprise this morning when i logged on to your site.
Great innovation, i would say. But i think the write ups on the side bars shouldn’t be of the same colour (or intensity) as that of the main posts. It looks monotonous, just my candid opinion though.
I also think there ought to be a dedicated “about me” page and not the usual one sentence stuff.
Don’t you think generis solutions (being worth a mention) and her projects deserve a page too, if not a linked site?
I know there are more stuffs up your sleeve…
Luv U!
Looks nice. It was a pleasant surprise to me and very refreshing too.
The new look is attractive and the blue colour is beautiful.
The posts are well categorised.
I also think the colour of write ups on the side bar should be slightly different from the main post.
More greese to your elbow.
Congrats Sir,more beautiful and attractive than the former one.
CONGRATS ones more.
Absolutely wonderful design. I’m tempted to do some serious work on my blog too. I think this is very attractive and simple.
great job! This is the least you will ever be, bcos the path of the just shines brighter and brighter.
Congratulations man. It’s been 3 years already. Chei, how time flies.
The redesign isn’t bad but I think it could be way better.
First, I think you need to bring back the green and white, you know how much we love that.
Second, I think the width needs to be fluid. The extra space to the sides need to be used, right now, it kinda feels like the content is being squeezed somewhat.
Third, I think the Ad boxes are kinda small and non standard. Those boxes will only hold buttons like the
Afrigator one in the footer, you should be looking at 125 x 125 squares.
The display style of the comments can be neater and comments by the author should be obviously different from comments from all other people.
Just my 2 cents. Keep up the great work, you know it’s 2gbaski…lol
Deolu, just to buttress what Royal_Prince and Festus Adeolu said: the side bar write-ups should be slightly de-emphasized compared to the main post. Changing the color is one idea; you could also consider changing the font (maybe to any italic). It’ll really make it less monotonous and crowded.
Again, as I said earlier: well done. You’re a true Phoenix.
Well chairman, the new look is fine, the last word on this post is even more challenging, and the links at the end of the post, to NNC, Facebook and others is quite a nice idea too.
I also like the general theme of the whole page. This coming out on the eve to my birthday and on the eve of launching my own blog is quite a good birthday present to me, believe me!
Just a couple of comments though… Can u put a linked button for ‘printable version’ somewhere, so that those touching posts can be printed with less stress and without printing every other thing.
I know this is work in progress, but I cant find a link to the home page anywhere, and can you pls put the counter back on, I like to have an idea of how many people are hitting on the site.
By and large – great job! Surely the latter is better than the former…
Deolu, Let me borrow a leave from luminus’ second observation to expantiate on one of mine. Use up the extra spaces to the sides and place the write ups (i.e side bars) on the blue backgroung with a suitable font colour. In other words increase the width of the blue spaces on both sides and use them as the background for the side bars.
Luv U!
Chairman,
E ku ise opolo! Congrats on your 3rd year of blogging and on the new look webpage. Better days are still ahead!
Well done sir!
Very interesting look and quite catchy!
I prefer this.
Congrats on the 3 years of blogging! owo yin a ma r’oke o!
Happy 3rd annivery,
great change, though I had problems with the general arrangement(lay-out), you could vary the funt sizes and types.
It’s really a great change, since it’s work in progress I believe the blog will get there.
cheers Deolu.

luminus stole all my comments except one: let me ask like a question? the “home” “register” and “login” buttons on top what are those ones for o?
it is all 2gbaski. i quite agree
…….this is really beautiful!Still on a look out for more insight en great posts!
Well done..
lots of white space…good! There’s room for improvement…but can’t real say where…
Congrats on your three years of EFFECTIVE and PRODUCTIVE blogging
OpeOnifade
IT looks good and strange at the same time. But definitely if it’s still a work in progress, then its uniqueness is still on its way.
Looking forward to the great things that is to come!
Cheers!
not bad at all,
May my 3 yrs in blogging birthday be greater than yours!!! LOL
Good job Chairman…..U r Numero Uno..No kain

Toyin Daniel Ogunmola
Well done and Congrats, please can you help me start my own website ? any info, links will be appreciated thanks.
Warm Regards,
FM
Chairman, when I saw this, I had to refresh again to be sure I was on the right site! Great turnaround! I love the layout and of course the colour of your dress.
Just as you have decided to renew this site, everything else in your life has taken on a new vigour. You won’t run dry of ideas and direction. Keep on shining!
Bros ebi like say watin you start(NEW NAIJA) na em lead to all this GRIM e no GRIM WHITE GREEN lol,but i guess the GREEN WHITE GREEN won’t be a bad idea included with what already exist, then the issue of the ADS i concur with Gbenga and luminus, another thing is in prints and picture blue(sky and navy) and royal purple are good colours to work with,so i guess there is room for final decision making since it is work in progress,@Abiola what is the register, login and home buttons for?
Nice change there…quite nice
@all,
What can I say.. thanks so much for all the comments. I’ll try to ensure that as many points as possible are represented. Thanks a load.
I have started adding the blogs, and I have pleaded with one of my colleagues to mail all those interested in having their own blogs. Your journey is about to start.
An yes, may your blogs move far ahead of this in 3yrs and less.
Wow this is greate, looks alot more real & beautifull + i love changes. I desier to be here in less than one year(hav’nt started yet o!). 1luv
oga deolu, i like this concept, SIMPLE AND DETAILED, keep up the good work!!!!!!
Chairman , Nice One Congratulations On this remarkable milestone.
Keep it up. All d best. Cheers
You are welcome!
Nice one, looks better now.
Luv U!
Pls forgive my ignorance…lol
In my first comment about this site, i had suggested that Generis Solution deserves a page or a site linked to this. Never knew there was, may be because i was xpecting it up there as a page (clearly written) in the conventional manner.
But while familarizing with the site, I stumbled on a link, consulting, under opportunity and was ushered in to http://www.generis-solutions.com.
Dee’
This outlook shows invested thot! It’s far better than the old one. The color combo, new pix and add ons are great. However, i think you should change your font to something more friendly like calibri.
Great job!
Chairman,
Happy 3rd anniversary. May the Lord continue to empower to inspire our generation.
On my part, I always embrace change. Afterall, it is the most constsant thing in life. The new look is attractive and the navigation of the blog is clear.
As per the green white green stuff, it really depends on your mission. If you intend to run the blog as a Nigerian brand, then the green by the sides and white in the centre would better help you achieve that, however, if you just want to be your self – no pressures, even though you’re the founder of newnaijaclub, then, this is just fine, though, there’s still room for improvement. The decision really depends on the intent.
Whatever the case ‘Thumbs up’.
On a second note, pls, I’ll also appreciate a link to my blog: http://www.derinogunmola.wordpress.com
Thx
[...] took a word in season to stir me out of the couch and get me started at last. Well, here goes my first [...]
CHANGE IS A GOOD THING ! you look great.
Well done oga. I wen be like you oo.
I like new things oooo, but i already miss the blog where i got my inspiration from… i prefer the former except for your new profile picture and the add ons at the bottom.
i know say dem go say felix don come again… lol
This is beautiful, keep it up sir!
The colours don’t really matter,as long as it is beautifully combined not to cause colour riot. Moreover, what you have in mind for changing the colour counts…design concept is about personality and uniqness…I support you do away with the national colour.
By the way, happy 3rd anniversary.I wish you all that you wish yourself!
bros you re well done. how u dey ? it is very glorious and wonderful.you re scarce in the world.
God will continue guiding you in all you ways.my life has turn a new leave since i know the BEST and most valuable person in the universe.EGBON,your presesce matters but what gives me joy is putting those things you teach into practice every second of my life.
GOD made you,you make the greater future generations.
i love u.
i love the last paragraph. its insightful.
