Whenever I have the opportunity to speak to people about financial intelligence, which is quite often, I am amazed at how everyone wants to prosper financially. Excuses are monuments of fools, they are tools of the incompetent, he that is wise, will not live by them! Excuses are the reasons failures give for failing! Wisdom is never proven by words, it’s proven by deeds. John has a demon and Jesus is a glutton and a drunkard, hence the generation of old armed themselves with the tools of the incompetent. Their generation didn’t start giving excuses however, it started from the first time man displayed disobedience, Adam opened his mouth “The woman that you gave me, gave me and I ate”. Today however, thousands of years after, men are still forever limited by their excuses!
What is your excuse? What reason have you given yourself to condone and accommodate where you currently are? Are you living true to your potentials? Are you capable of doing more or being more than where you currently are? What is limiting you? You don’t have a choice? Or you have given yourself no other choice? Almost 2yrs ago, I saw the true light and possibilities of what Avenues to Wealth (then Holidays and Cash) could become. I came from Malaysia filled with passion for possibilities. It amazes me how almost two years later, some of the people I shared the opportunity with, have managed to either stay on the same spot or actually fall behind. I thought long and hard about the topic of this post. What can I title it that will make it capture the urgency of the now, and at the same time retain the timeless signature I want every article I write to bear? It suddenly struck me, that the best way to put it, is as I have, “Don’t miss this!”

The more I think about the way the world works, and the invisible hand that works the world, the more I am awed. It’s so interesting that the resources exist for all who care to be wealthy to truly be wealthy. It is amazing that there are enough resources on the planet to make everyone wealthy, yet less than 10% of the world control more than 90% of it’s resources. The earth is on course, it stays it’s course under the influence of forces that are backed up by explainable laws. In the same consistent way, every process on earth is backed by principles. If you know the principles and laws governing a result, you can always replicate it!
I don’t know if it excites you as it excites me, that $1 kept at 20% per annum can become $1million in 75yrs. If it is managed at even 3% it can still become $1million in 468yrs. I’m sure you think this is too long a time, but look at it this way. It means everybody can own and build a foundation. I can give $1 to my bankers, and write a will to back it, instructing them to give away $30,000 yearly on my behalf once my money has become $1million. If we are more consistent with our savings and educated with our investments, we can all become multi millionaires in our lifetime. To build sustainable wealth has a how to, I cannot claim I am there, but I can say I’m on the path. I long to share the lessons from the Maldives, to share insights from The Gambia and touch a bit on my breath-taking tour of Cotonou, Ivory Coast and Senegal – remind me I said breath taking
