Becoming a Genius- Revealed!

Posted by Adeolu Akinyemi @ October 24th, 2006 | Comments (5)

You have what it takes to be a genius, and it might surprise you that it has been discovered scientifically that there is a way to be exceptional. What I am about to write may really sound absurd, but I urge that if you practice it, you will discover that you’ll begin to stand out in ways you have never imagined.

A study of the human brain has shown that most of the discoveries about the human brain in the last 10yrs have been much more than ever discovered. Scientists have also come to agree, that what is theoretically known about the brain is much less than 5% of what needs to be known. In a series of analysis however, some laws were hypothesised, and corroborated as theories. You can become a genius, you only need to know how. (more…)

I Love You

Posted by Adeolu Akinyemi @ September 4th, 2006 | Comments (5)

When was the last time you heard those words and it caused your heart to skip a beat? When was the last time you uttered it with sincerity and humility? Well, I don’t know what page of life you are on, or where in your journey you have reached, but one thing that is clear to me, is that, that word love is the most powerful virtue that exists.

I’m far away from town, have been for some days now. I can’t write much, I’m being timed and I have loads of work to complete. I ran here when no one was looking :). You know why? Because I love you, yes you, even you.

Everytime you come here, I know it. Every time you inform a friend I’m aware. I’m not into magic, it’s pure science. Writing here for me is a duty, a duty born out of love to see you grow. It’s what I live for. To be your partner in success is my success.

If it’s been long you heard these words, say them loud for yourself to hear. I love you! It is your persistence that keeps me on, your belief that makes me run, and your encourgements that keep me motivated. Thanks for all the numerous comments from those who come here daily. Thanks, that’s all I have for you today, but I am confident that before long, you’ll have gotten more than I could every have imagined offering.

I love you!

By the way, the experiement just started for me again…I mistakenly ate meat again on saturday. (How come it always happens when I’m out of my terrain? How come it always happens after I have spoken at a seminar? I think I know why, I loose myself so much in those meetings, that the only thing that matters is giving my best…now I don’t know if that is a good thing) So friends, this is day 2 again!

30 Days Trial - Day 2

Posted by Adeolu Akinyemi @ August 9th, 2006 | Comments (1)

Everything went well for day 2, still hanging on to the commitment. Had a go at actually saying No! yesterday, I had to pass on a food I really enjoy to stick to it. It’s feeling like a really small goal, this vegetarian diet thingie. I’m tempted to add more things to the plate. I’ll take it easy though, and bring more in as the time passes.

Change or upgrade will never happen accidentally, it will happen by concious endeavor and concious action. Weeds are the only things that grow without conciousness, every good fruit is a result of sowing.

Back To Life

Posted by Adeolu Akinyemi @ August 5th, 2006 | Comments (3)

One of the strangest things happened to me yesterday. It’s 4am already and the beginning of a new day. All of a sudden on my birthday, my website will not just load. Mails sent to me were bouncing back. I couldn’t upload current vacancies. It was tiring, trying and chaotic!

But as usual, at the end of every dark alley is a light. Sorrow may endure for the night, but joy comes in the morning. The site registeration actually expired. The site is back to life now, and has a new birthday, my birthday!

The past few days have been fantastic, a group of us were together in Ife for 180 degrees. We thought it was a life changing seminar, we couldn’t have been more convinced. We left Ife with people taking ownership of their lives. Whoever calls the shots in your life has control. The birthing place of excuses is on the altar of i’m not in charge. Who is the captain, who calls the shots. You have a choice, you are only as limited as the meeting point of your imagination and ignorance.

We also had a great time teaching people the rudiments of blogging, we are starting a revolution, and arming this next generation with the powers to be in control of their destinies.

It felt great to be a part of it. The appreciation, the feeling of adding value, the enlightened look on the faces, and the warm thank you handshakes and hugs. If I had an opportunity to live it all again. I will go this route again.

I want to thank God, the giver of life for the opportunity of a new day and a New year! I’m also using this medium to thank all those who called me, sent me a text message, mailed me, God will remember you. Feel free to resend the mails that bounced back. I appreciate you.
I’m looking forward to celebrating my birthday at Little saints orphanage, palmgrove today. There about 120 children between the ages of 0 and 20yrs. Please come with gifts just for the kids. I foresee a lovely day! I also have another seminar today, PEER energy.

The site is back to life, and so am I.

Ignite your Passion!

Posted by Adeolu Akinyemi @ July 24th, 2006 | Comments (3)

“The only thing you have a shot at being worldclass is your passion!” -Bill Gates

We all have a shot at greatness in life, we can all live the life of our dreams and be truely successful, but it has to be in an area where we are extremely passionate. “Nothing great in the world has been accomplished without passion” - Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. You need to find your passion and pursue it or follow your dreams with passion!

Once upon a time there was a young warrior who desired to be successful. His desire was not just a mere wish, so he decided to go on a search. He enquired from city to city for the secret of success, but he never got answer strong enough to quench his thirst. All the people he met gave him their best, but told him that there was a village very far away, where an old sage lived. They were all unanimous in believing that this old man, had what it took to give him his ultimate answer!

After a long fruitless soujorn, this young warrior decided to set himself on a long journey of finding the old sage, to whose mouth reputation accrued wisdom. It was a very long walk! After getting to this town, he asked the villagers for the whereabouts of the old sage. He was duely informed that the old sage lived on top of the mountain. They warned him to be careful of the old man though, as the villages felt it required some level of insanity to be comfortable alone.

The young man gave himself no rest, immediately he began to ascend the mountain, he had to know the secret of success, he had not come this far to relax, it was fight to finish. After what seemed like hours, he arrived on the top of the mountain and sighted a little hut. The old man was in front of the little hut, rocking away on his rocking chair. The young man was exhausted and desired to get back to business quickly.

Young Man: Old man, I have been told in every city I crossed in my search for the secret of success, that the answers lies with you. I have travelled long old man, and I’ll really appreciate if you can bring and end to my search.

Old Man: (Silent)keeps rocking

Young Man: Please old man, please pay attention to me, I want to know the secret of success.

Old Man: (Still silent), stands up from the chair and grabs the young man by his right hand, and pulls him along as he descends the mountain. The young man simply follows, until the old man brings him to a nearby stream, and takes him into the water until his heel is fully covered. Then he takes him some more until the water reached his knee, and more until his waist, then his head, and more until he is totally immersed in water. He keeps him under water for about 30 seconds, and then gradually takes him out the way they both came, until they reach the top of the mountain. The Old man reclines his rocking chair, closes his eyes, and rocks away!

Young Man: Gasping for breath and breathing fast…Old man, what is all this, I came here to ask you for a secret, why are you wasting my time, energy and youth!

Old Man: Sorry young man, when I took you into the water, and you were fully submerged, what did you feel like doing?

Young Man: I felt desperate for breathe, and I would have thrown your hands to the high evens, pushed you or done anything to breathe.

Old Man: Hmmm…on the day you feel like that, exactly like you felt when I held you down in the water, about anything, you have found the secret of success!!!

“The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire.”— Field Marshal Ferdinand Foch
If you ignite your passion, the world will love to watch you burn. Great dancers are not great because of their techniques, they are great because of their passions. Find that place where you have passion, pursue your dreams with it, and you’ll soon be a spectacle. Your mind does not concieve impossibilities in the line of your passion, you are willing to work hard, go the extra mile, pay the price, not because you are are under any pressures, but because you have a passion for what you are doing!

“When work, commitment, and pleasure all become one and you reach that deep well where passion lives, nothing is impossible.”

180 Degrees Training Opportunities

Posted by Adeolu Akinyemi @ June 14th, 2006 | Comments (0)

180 Degrees

Following the May 1 announcement of training opportunities, please see modules below:

  1. Blogging:
It has become a buzzword, and many people claim that they’re making lots of money through it! Could it be true? Well, it is true — but there are some things they have not told you: setting up a blog is like discovering the life you should have been living! A blog combines the power of online presence — that websites bring — with the ease of filling in a diary without the need for writing techie codes! And it also helps secure your real estate online, standing as a potential “cash cow” as it grows in reach and popularity. Plus, you can decide what you wish to do with your blog: its yours anyway. This training will take you from just being an admirer of blogs (and recently, leaving comments on other people’s blogs) to becoming an owner of your own blog. We will take you from how to set up your blog, choosing a name, deciding what/how to write, basic tips on increasing traffic to your website and …
  2. Making Money Online:
You must have heard about the increasingly popular seminars that try to teach you how to make money online. And odds are that you’ve been to one, but left with a “funny” taste in your mouth — and a few naira off your account. Why are you not making money, while the seminar organizers are getting richer? Well, maybe its because you’ve been taught the wrong things — or haven’t been empowered with the tools that make the difference between “lesson notes” and “practical application”. Enters the “180 Degrees Making Money Online” training! How exactly can you make money online without getting involved in fraud? How can you ensure that each day, a few keeps waiting for you in your online account? Would you love to learn from those who combine experience with the passion to empower you?
  3. Navigating International Meetings:
At some point in your career, you would love to look back and see how you moved from Personal Development to Global Participation. But a lot comes with global participation — one of which is participation in international meetings. This need to understand how to “navigate” international meetings is a popular need. From identifying which meetings exist, deciding which is relevant, finalizing travel plans, actual participation and post-meeting issues, there are people who can share thoughts with you and help you understand what to do. While there’s no formula to the process, the facilitator(s) for this training have grown from where you are today to the point where they now navigate international meetings with so much ease. If you wish to join this flight that will take you closer to global participation.
  4. Social Enterprise Development:
Gone are the days when people stayed away from the social issues they so much wanted to address because of the fear of ending up as a pauper. You can now combine the value of solving social issues with the comfort of earning revenue… and as it is said, “there’s nothing like doing what you love to do — especially solving a societal problem — and being paid for it”. If you’ve heard the phrase, “social entrepreneurs” and there’s a click in your mind, or you are interested in understanding how to move your non-profit ideas into the realm of sustainability, then this training is for you. Combining proven business concepts with passionate social delivery, this training will explain to you how tomorrow’s most important people will be social entrepreneurs — people who solve problems, and are paid for it!

Please send an eMail to 180@generissolutions.com to confirm your interest. Training holds on June 17th 2006 at the Generis Solutions Training Room, 5th Floor, L’Monarch Plaza, Opebi, Ikeja, Lagos, 01 794 16 02.

Crossroads!

Posted by Gbenguz @ November 16th, 2005 | Comments (3)

Hmmm… I never seem to be out of dull moments. Every object has unlimited views, you can turn 360 degrees around it from 360 different angles, and even those angles can still be divided by as much as you want. If you don’t understand it, it’s because I didn’t explain it clearly enough, even you can have your veiws about that ;-)
Striking and interesting it is though, that the same events extract different responses from us all. The same event that makes the farmer cry is the same one that ushers laughter out of the guinea fowl. Fat and beef being cooked in the same pot react differently.

Take a snap shot of Nigeria at the moment. Just freeze the country in your mind and what do you see? Figuratively, Nigeria could be that giant pot where Nigerians are the foundational ingredients. While many feel the heat and want to pop out of the pot into wherever, other ingredients are being added and enjoying the splendor. While some would rather not stay, some cannot stand the thought of leaving. Prevailing situations make some stay while others in their own volition, by and by the combination gets done, the resulting aroma is sweet and it’s a delight to all who know what is good! I dare not say I know of certainty how much of a pressure cooker the nation is, how heated it’s furnace or how stoney it’s ingredients, but I’m sure that with some ingredients i have seen and their passion for making it work…it’s just a matter of time!

Don’t mind me, my passion for Nigeria atimes get’s over bearing, but more to the issue on ground-Crossroads!

Have you every felt your heart and your head dissagree to a decision? Has the voice of your logic ever been doused by the tears of your emotion? Has your heart every aspired while your soul endlessly pondered? If you have, then you probably are on the same page with me. Sometimes when your heart longs for something it gets presented to you. Your brain tries without luck to comprehend it and slows down your pace. You want to go, yet you want to stay. It’s a crossroad, all the roads have only similarity in common, they end in various destinations. There is no backward way forward, no forward way backward. I’m there at the moment, with all the mixed feelings that go with it. I’ll keep it philosophical until it makes sense to divulge it. Then you’ll have a worldclass story. Ase!
