The Most Important Revelations -1!

What you are about to read, I authorize you to teach. What you are about to hear, you are authorized to share. If this information was as clear to me years ago, as it is today, I will be far away from where I am today. If you read this frequently enough, it will settle in. I will try as much as possible to capture this in simple language, the type that makes it easy to understand and difficult to misunderstand. This information is so crucial, so pivotal to success, it’s so so important, I cannot stress the importance of it enough. If your quest is for wealth, this is important. If it’s for honor, fame or greatness, this is critical. If your quest is for the attainment of significance, relevance or influence, then is is your starting point. I have also deliberately decided to make it short, not because it can’t be longer, but so you don’t get bored. I will break it down into series and will shed more light as we progress. If you can understand this, you are made! Welcome with me, into possibilities. Continue reading

Where are You?

“Where are you?” That statement dates back to the beginning of time. That question was the first question that God asked man after man sinned in the Garden of Eden. “Where are you?” Imagine that God is asking you that same question today! Imagine that the purpose for your being, is asking that question today! Imagine that your community and the predestined boundaries of your existence are with one voice asking – “Where are you?”.

Oh, once upon a time you were the leader of the group. Oh, you were the chief usher for your fellowship back on campus, you were the sister’s leader, bible study secretary, head of a subgroup, president of a society, pastor of a fellowship! Oh you were great, you were grand, you results were exceptional, your story was unique and you made a mark! The question today however is not where were you, or who were you or what did you do? Today’s question is “Where are you?”. Where are you today, and what exactly is your story? Or let me put it more succinctly, what is your excuse? Don’t be tongue tied, you might find your answer within the first answer ever given!

“I heard you in the garden and I was afraid because I was naked. I hid myself” – Adam Continue reading

Do You Have a Heart for It?

Many of us desire greatness, we want our names immortalized, we want to live unforgettable lives. We don’t want to live our lives merely on the lower rungs of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. We want to live actualized lives, lives that have impact and that have the testimony of positively affecting others. We want to enjoy an abundance of God’s favor, to manifest uncommon wisdom, we to be nationally relevant and global in our influence. We desire much!

The interesting thing as well, is that gifts, favor, wisdom, talents,  finance, relationships are things that God can give. Even men with influence and affluence can give gifts, you can leverage on their favor, tap into their wisdom, gain access into their finance, utilize their resources and harness their relationships. There is however one factor that has to be
yours and yours alone – your heart! The question on my mind for you today, is do you have a heart for the greatness that you desire? The only stumbling block, the only deterrent, the only hinderance between you and the life of your dreams is not what God can give you, it’s what you can make prepared yourself. Continue reading

From Victim to Victor

“They didn’t tell me it was like this”, “I didn’t know”, “He deliberately deceived me”, “They made it look so simple”, “It’s his fault”, “It’s her fault”. There are many shades of excuses people give as the reasons for their failure. They all have one thing in common – they give the responsibility for their predicament(s) to others. These conversations ooze out effortlessly from the mouths of victims. A victim is appropriately defined as one that is acted on and usually adversely affected by a force or agent. Nobody desires to be a victim, we think erroneously that our circumstances are imposed on us by life. This is wrong!

Victors on the other hand, are people who somehow have learnt to arrogate the responsibility for their success or failure only to themselves. They see themselves as on the winning side, as happening to the world and not the world shoving things at them. They see themselves as key influencers, not merely concerned citizens. They seek out their lot in life and take it! The world watches and calls them lucky, but they know that everything they have achieved in their life has been their fault or making. They know that by thinking like a victor, they have somehow managed to attract wealth, the opportunities and the lifestyles that attends victory. Continue reading

It’s Time to Pray

The Polity in Nigeria is quite heated, friends are willing to quarrel over aspirants they did not know 4 months ago. Strangers are willing to mal-handle each other over aspirants they do not truly know. Everybody want’s their person to win, nobody wants to lose.

Sometimes I play the video of my imagination past the now, into the future, I evaluate the possibilities if my candidate wins, and if others win. Will the momentum built by the opposition parties be well managed, or will it create instability? I did a survey based on these thoughts, the results I got were scary and I think it depends on many factors.

My analysis of the political terrain however shows one interesting reality. No matter who wins, Nigeria can never be the same again. The heated debates and campaigns have made all the parties promise us what we the Nigerian people truly deserve, a New Nigeria. Nobody can get there and take us for granted anymore. Rigging is no longer sufficient, the will of the people and their desires will count!

My heart silently aches over the tense arguments and discourteous use of words by old and young! Most of us are too far from where anything is being shared (when it’s being shared), hence our words and arguments are devoid of financial motivation, but by our desires for change. Our desires for a Nigeria we can be proud of, our desires to tell our children that when they sing the phrase “the labors of our hero’s past”, that our names are in there. Our desire for a Nigeria we can believe in, not one we can be leaving. That even though we were inspired by men, what we passionately strove for was a New Nigeria! And that win or lose, we actually won, because we may not get what we want, but we’ll get what we need! We are certain that when we do our best, God helps us with the rest. We are confident, that God desires that we live to our fullest expression, as individuals and as a nation and that he is more interested in a New Nigeria than all of us.

My heart is burdened, that if the leaders and candidates are at war with themselves and dedicate articles to demean each other, our fight should not be against people, but against corrupting systems, against poverty, against unemployment, against violence, insecurity and so many vices that bedevil our otherwise great country. Oh, I’m not free of blame myself and I indeed apologize. My passion for change has made me utter words not befitting a king. I have lashed out at people I hold in high esteem, demonized people with different views, castigated great yet opposing candidates and criticized pastors. Though I have my claim to truth, I am sorry indeed. The first step in our prayer for change, is that we the people that are called by God’s name, must humble ourselves, and turn from our wicked ways. Then God will hear from heaven, and heal our land.

If we focus more on counting our blessings, we’ll realize that never in our nation’s recent history have we been blessed with such a quality of aspirants. If we challenge ourselves to find the positives in every aspirant, we would indeed find, and some of what we will find would be exciting.

Brothers and Sisters, let’s quit the war. Let’s turn our swords to agricultural instruments and be ready to support the change we desire once voting is done. All those who are in the political scenes today, have 10-15yrs of Political relevance. We have 30-40 active years ahead of us, the future is ours, and it’s our responsibility to guard it. It’s time to pray for God’s will, time to pray for peace and healing. It’s time to rebuild our walls and infrastructures, it’s time for a fresh start. While we pray, it’s also time to watch. To cast our votes for our conscience, and to understand that in a democracy, the winner is the one that the majority wants, and that it is our responsibility as citizens, to accept whoever wins and provide the necessary support and checks to move our democracy forward.

I have a dream of a Nigeria that works, a Nigeria that my children can school in and stand taller than students from anywhere in the world in every way. I have a dream of a Nigeria where corruption, power failure, insecurity, poverty, ethnic or religious bias only exists as history topics. I have a dream of a Nigeria where the street cleaner has her own house, where announcing “I’m a Nigerian” makes everybody around you feel comfortable that a competent and trustworthy person is here. The future we desire is possible, from now till the elections are over, I invite you to join us as we pray! If you can even fast, you are welcome as well. Wherever you are, at Noon daily. Let’s pray! Prayer points will be seen across the facebook status pages of many of us.

4 Useful Tools to Achieve More

Everyday, I’m learning, in fact I’m currently on a 30 day course! One of the demands of this course is that whatever it is I’m learning, I take the diligence to also give back and teach others. Remember you have not truly learnt a thing until you have taught someone else. Education analysts say that what you teach others get’s retained about 90% more.

Despite the fact that there is so much activity going on these days, I am deliberately learning, and pushing myself. None of us has an excuse. The day we stop learning is the day we start dying.

Please pay attention to the four tools below, they may wear new names (that’s courtesy of Robin Sharma who’s training I’m in), but they are timeless tools that if you use can really help you to achieve more. Watch out though, whatever you do not put time action steps to execute within the next 24hrs is lost. All you read of these tools will be useless to you tomorrow, if you don’t determine to act on them immediately and if you don’t determine to teach someone else and hold yourself accountable.

Tool 1: Ideation
Everything begins with a thought. Have a dream book, it’s like a vision board in a book. Create things that have to do with all the areas of wealth (lifestyle, health). Start creating pictures and ideas of the life you want to live. Images impress the subconscious mind and gives you more power and clarity.

Question: The Dream book, by when will you have done this?

Tool 2: Visualization
Visualization is very powerful. Form a holy hour, close your eyes and see the pictures of your ideal images in the various aspects of life. Create a mental video of the life of your dreams, and take time out to watch it daily. Don’t watch it flatly, watch it with emotions.

Question: The holy hour, when will you start this?

Tool 3: Verbalization
Words are higher levels of thought. Whatever you say to yourself consistently your subconscious begins to believe. Whatever your subconscious believes will soon become your reality. Develop a leadership vocabulary, develop the vocabulary of the world class.

Sample Daily Declarations

Everyday and in every way I’m getting better and better and stronger and stronger. (or healthier and healthier or richer and richer or better and better as a leader, or happier and happier, whatever you want to work on).

I’m joyfully creating a world class business and joyfully creating a world class life.

Clean up your language, don’t finish yourself with careless words. Never say my business is going down, except you really want it to go down! Use your mind and emotions to feel your words. You need to connect your emotions, they are powerful, emotions have no limits, the mind is the limiter. Your emotions are liberators! Be emotionally invested in your projects. Greatness comes from passion and beneath the passion is emotions.

Repeating declarations about 100 times daily is powerful!

Question: When will you start holding yourself accountable to 100 declarations per day?

Tool 4: Materialization
Act on your big ideas. Small daily improvements over time lead to sterling results. Do 5 little things each day. Start today. DIN – Do it Now! Be an action person. The difference between you and your next level, is your commitment to action!

Question: Your daily 5 things to do to develop your business, when will you write them, and when will you start acting on them?
