Hi Deolu, the problem about life is not in how you live it but how u decide to end it. I am a banker and i have seen the peril of being one but each day i say to my self that whatever comes out of this Job is my lot. not My employer who gave me the Job not my line manager, not the traffic experience and sleeplessness groove. Every banker knows without doubt that life as a banker is exactly like a naked sewing machine as you have described but beyond being naked the fear of the unknown drives one crazy. but the solution is not far reach: take a stand and be accountable for it!

Gbam! Tell them, I mean us. Truth is indeed bitter but it has to be told. It is difficult to quit a job or rather to retire but the truth is that if you cannot work for life. If you don’t retire now, you will be retired someday. One can however test the deptth of the rivers of entrepreneurship when he/she is still gainfully employed. Network with people. this is an outstanding article. The truth of the matter is that many bankers don’t have a goal, they do not know when to call it quit. I work in one and with what i’m seeing, many will never get out of this rat race. I pray that he who read this article gain understanding.

As always, very thought-provoking and requiring ACTION. It baffles me when my banker brother and friends say they are broke. Now, I understand beta. Like you rightly said, Dreams are for free people! Until there’s a radical shift in our minds and a coincise effort to pursue our true potentials, I’m afraid many will remain in the rat race, no matter how lucrative their jobs sound. For me, I’ve decided to take the full plunge and pursue my dreams (while it is still day; lol). Thanks Deolu
