Generis Goes Unilevel

Our quest in Generis Universal Tactical Solutions (GUTS for Short, or Just Generis Solutions) is to partner with people for success. We are interested in the success of our clients, both individual and corporate.

One of the comments that really hit me from one of the sessions we just concluded with one of clients was this statement – “you need to make more noise about Generis, you people are so good, but not enough people know”. That was a good statement, on it’s own it’s a combination of positive and constructive feedback. It has got me thinking, how can we get our name out while at the same time achieving our mission of helping people succeed. What became obvious is that it would be a good thing to reward people for referring us to a client or individual that eventually use our services.

We’ll be doing a demo for this in October with our two major October Trainings. Anyone who refers any participant to any of these two trainings will get a 10% cut of the total training costs. We’ll see how this goes, and develop a system around it to ensure that people can make a living just referring people to our programs – our contribution to helping people succeed. Continue Reading »

Extreme Makeover Results

I’ve been extremely busy in the last 2 weeks, we had 2 training sessions for one of our multinational clients back to back. That was Friday to Saturday and Thursday to Sunday, it was excitingly tiresome as we had to prepare for both sessions, manage both sessions and also share in their fun. I’ve been very sparsely online as well, but I’m back now, and watch this space…lol.

About Extreme Makeovers, I had gotten mails from a few well meaning people, asking wassup. Well, what we decided to do was get an independent journalist – The Managing Editor of Inspire Magazine, Kayode Odeleye to interview the top 3 candidates so we can have a closer look at their lives and see who we would be willing to help. Please read the three interviews, have a look at some of the pictures, and let’s together decide who the first beneficiary of Extreme Makeover Nigeria will be. Their stories are arranged in the order in which they were nominated in the first round.

Pictures for the first two can be found here

In his words, “I have 5 elder sisters and there was some trouble when I was born because my step mother didn’t want me to live as she did not have any son. My father was in six different cults and he wanted me at all costs. My grandmother took me and took care of me because of the problems.” Continue Reading »

Our Envisioned Nigeria

My recent vacation to Dubai and South Africa were not only eye openers to the opportunities that existed outside our shores, they were also opportunities to see how we as a nation differ from the other countries. It was an opportunity to identify what we have that can move us far, and what we have that currently still stands us ahead.

I have tried to express passionately the visionary leadership that Dubai possesses, I have also tried to describe some the closest things to a man made heaven. From the visions they still have however, the best is even yet to happen. Just two days ago, I got informed that the world project is being sold already. The world project is a man made island patterned after the map of the world, with each continent as an Island. I quipped, that at least if one cannot be president over the real Nigeria, he can at least try to administer the Nigeria Island in the world project. South Africa also was filled with breathtaking sites, and great entertainment parks. I thought I had fun at the Wild Wadi Waterparks in Dubai until I experienced the Anaconda and Golden Heights at the Gold Reef Park. I don’t know what world South Africa is classified as, but I’m certain it’s far beyond our world.

Having seen all these, when I look back home, and see our current state my countenance falls, however when I think deeper and see what we could be, my heart is refreshed, for their is yet hope for Nigeria. Did you ask why? Let me show you what I see. Continue Reading »

Is Success Easy?

Once upon a time, there was a very rich king who had a very beautiful daughter. This daughter was so beautiful that she was the desire of every prince for hundreds of kilometers, the toast of the rich, and the dream of the poor. The princess was so lovely and well mannered she was simply out of this world.

The king knew that finding true love for his daughter would be a problem, so he decided to set up a competition to decide who would marry his only daughter and consequently reign as king after him. He decided to fill his big swimming pool with 40 hungry crocodiles. He set a day for the competition and informed all the choice men around town, that the man who would have his daughter’s hand in marriage is one that would be courageous enough to swim through the pool of crocodiles, come out alive at the other end, and be the first to do the same.

The crowd of aspiring and choice young men piled in front of the house of the king… Continue Reading »

Identity

“Who do men say that I am?” – Jesus Christ

That question was asked over 2000 years ago, and the answer still sounds as confusing as it did back then. The disciples of Jesus had many answers to that question, and interestingly, so does the world today. Different world religions and even Christian sects view Jesus differently. Some see him as a prophet, some as a guru and some as the Son of God. I have always thought that the true test of identity is alignment in the opinions of all who watch, but that is wrong. It’s not the views of those that watch that counts, it’s the core theme or purpose for which that individual lives. Identity is not crafted from the outward activities, it’s developed for the inward values and underlying life themes.

Many on the quest of creating a unique identity, have converted themselves into zombies. You were not designed to be one thing to everybody. Your identity is not what they call you, they’ll call you many things, it is not the job you are doing, you’ll leave it one day, it’s not your clothes or your haircut, all these are subject to change. You true identity is the core and fundamental reason why you do everything else that you do, it’s your theme, your compass. Continue Reading »
