Billionaires in Training

Call it Billionaires in Training, call it Cashflow 101 retreat, Monday and Tuesday the 28th and 29th of May is going down in history as one of my best days so far this year. Not only for me, I’m sure, but also for the 19 other people that were together with me as we played Cashflow 101 at the HS Blue Ribbon Hotel on Allen Lane Ikeja. We settled in from about 5pm, started off with dinner and 7, and the game started at 8pm at night. We did not know how we suddenly looked at the time, and it was 5am! We ended the game around this time, had a little recap, and went to sleep deciding to reconvene at 10:30am.

I’m currently still expecting the pictures from the friend that took them, as soon as I get the pictures, you’ll see them here. But before you get a preview of the pictures, I’ll try and do a good job with words in describing how the event went, the learning opportunities and reasons why you shouldn’t miss the next one. Summarily, I think we have discovered the best way to hang out together in these times. Continue reading

MLM vs HYIP – Where I stand

“With the internet explosion, in the future there will be two kinds of people those with networks (downline) and those without” – unknown

“The internet is like a goldmine, you have to dig a lot of crap to get one little nugget” – Unknown

If you have been following the trend of my analysis and thinking, I’m sure you have a perspective of where my votes will fall on this. I however feel the need to let you know why, and hopefully, someone might learn a thing or two.

I have been interested and participated in every MLM program that came into Nigeria since I graduated from University. FLP, Tianshi, CDT, Sapphire, Clubfreedom e.t.c. Some I did by proxy, others I actually got actively involved. MLM is hard work, and it doesn’t get easier even when it’s online. MLMs present one of the best skill development opportunities you will ever get. More about this later. I have also tried my hands on a few HYIPs, it’s all about the money, no learning opportunity. Greed grows, and more often than not, the rewards do not endure. If you reap where you didn’t sow, it also simply means you will sow also at times and not reap. Continue reading

Gunning for the 1%

“He came unto his own, and his own received him not” – John 1:11

There is a parable in the bible that beats me, it’s a story that Jesus told his disciples about the shepherd that had 100 sheep, lost one and left the 99 to go for that one. He was actually describing himself, and that was supposed to be the trait of a good shepherd. There are many ways to look at it, but however way you look at it, it means that, 1% is important too, and is worth the effort. I’m sure you are wondering where I’m going with this. I’m actually trying hard to compress thoughts that could have been 6 posts into one, I hope when I finish, we all arrive on the same page. For this post, I’m gunning for the last 1%.

Some time last year, we had a teenagers teachers meeting in my church, it was an opportunity for all of us to unwind, and get to know ourselves better. It was also an opportunity to plan ahead. In this meeting I heard something I had heard before, but it shocked me afresh. All the teachers were split into two opposite categories when it came to their perspectives about me. One category, believed that I am a jovial, down to earth, easy going, unassuming person (esa), while the other category, the ones that actually shocked me, believed that I was completely different. Here were some of the remarks – “I had the impression that you were a very serious and very intelligent person, and I better know what I want to say well before approaching you”, “one day, my husband and I drove past your car on the high way, my husband was shocked that you were actually laughing loud in the car, we didn’t think you could laugh”, “I felt you were good, but arrogant”, “I have known you for a long time, what I thought then, and what I know now, are completely different” e.t.c. Financial Intelligence 101

A friend commented lately, that the most important things in life are never taught. How true! Over the last 2 weekends, I have been extremely busy, I have been co-organizing together with my colleagues the second ever HR MBA 1 (Methods Becoming Actions). While we were busy making this happen in Ostra Hotel over 2 full weekends, I and this Friend- Babatunji Farinloye, saw a newly wedded couple. We laughed at how no school course covers training for marriage, raising children, building relationships, managing personal finance and so many of the really important things in life. I joked, that marriage is the only institution where we get a certificate before the school begins. While it is true that school does not prepare one for most of the important things in life, one must avail him/herself the privilege of such interventions. There is a mouth watering intervention coming up next week maximizing the use of the public holiday on May 29. Read on. Continue reading

Who have you believed?

Whether we accept it or not, we are currently being influenced by the things we have believed. The import of this statement might not mean much to you, until you examine it carefully. We are all a product of our conditioning and scripting. Life has written us a script, and for as long as we are not conscious of this, we are mere pawns in the grand chess game of life.

The story is told of elephants in captivity. Get a baby elephant tied to a tree in such a way that it can only roam for as far as the length of the rope. It will try hard in it’s early years to break away, but by and buy, it will grow to know it’s own limitations. After a while it will no longer try to move beyond the circle that the ropes length provides a radius for. Even after the rope is removed from it’s neck, it still stays within that circle. Why? It has been conditioned to believe that it has limits. And even when it becomes set free in the body, it still has to still be set free in the mind. There are three significant stages in human development, between the ages of 0-5 is the age of why? This is the time where you are inquisitive, and ask questions to simply to know. Why is mummy’s stomach big? Why? The next stage is between 5-18, this is the age of why not? At this age, you clearly understand why, but you are thinking why not? This is the age when you test the limits, daddy says don’t, you ask why not? This is the stage where we are formed, where we are conditioned and put in our various boxes :) . The next age after this, is the age of most of us :) 18-death, it’s called the age of because. Now we know why, why not and can explain it away. We are set. If it doesn’t look like what we used to know, it’s wrong, bad, negative, evil or questionable. We can simply explain all things away… it’s because. The question I am about to ask today, is simply, “who have you believed?” Continue reading

Clubfreedom, 6k4you and RT

I have received too many mails in the last few days from people asking me about 6k4you, Revolving Travel and Clubfreedom. How it works, what the boards are like, how to cycle fast, how many people they need to have under them, and trust my people, how much they need to invest to cycle out in one day or week?! People have also asked questions about how to pay? How come you are charging 24k, can I pay for myself? How come my down line is on a higher level than myself? How come someone with 30 people is higher than someone with 150 people down the line? How does this work, and how can I make the most of my membership?

I have answered numerous phone calls, and have decided it’s better to make the vital information available online, so that we can have an authoritative information on how CF, 6k4you and Revolving Travel (RT) works. It’s also better to put a system in place to ensure that we can manage what is about to come. I want to assure all that have joined and are actively working today, that not long from now, people you approached that told you they were not interested, will beg to join through you. Be rest assured that by then, anybody joining through this team will pay a a premium to join. Before you ask about the authority with which I speak, let me give you some basic statistics. As of today, 7 weeks after I joined clubfreedom from 6k4you, I have cycled once, 3 of my down lines are on traveler positions(tops, 1 week from cycling), I am also back to traveler position, I have >8 down lines on standby (tops, 2weeks), I have another >15 on planner, many more on reservation and too many to count on standby. Haven entered from 6k4you, I have two of my re-entry legs in planner positions, and others still coming up. I have a guy who’s less than 3weeks in, and is on standby, while his upline’s upline is still on the feeder board. It’s not just about having a village under you, it’s recruiting, training, marketing, strategy, team building, people management and business development. It’s multi functional and multitasking. You need to learn how it works. Continue reading

Wild Wild West

In my little study of history, there are two quotes that feature regularly. One says that those that don’t know the past are likely to repeat it, and the other says anyone who does not know the things that happened before he was born, will remain a child forever. History is a very interesting topic, believe me, and whether you study it in school or not, we all should be students of history.

The current wake of numerous HYIPs in the western city of Ibadan, has made me ask some fundamental questions, and indeed wonder, if there is a lesson or two we can learn from the history of this great town. The first thing I find interesting about Ibadan is the eulogy, popularly known as Oríkì.

“Ibadan ile oluyole, ibi tole tin jare olohun
Ibadan omo agesin kole, ibadan omo a joro sun
Ibi ole ngbe nja lolu olohun. Omo afikaraun foori mu.”

Defining Success for You

Yesterday we had a session of our monthly mentorship session. Gbenga Sesan, myself and this time around a guest speaker – Emmanuel Utomi. It was an exciting session for me, because during the session I learnt some vital things as well. I learnt a few questions that make one’s picture of success clearer to one. Three vital questions that if you answer, will help you focus your strengths at being the real person on the inside of you that is craving for expression. I’ll use my own personal template, and I’ll hope that this will be instructive enough to help you formulate yours. There is nothing like climbing the ladder of success to the top of the sky scraper of achievement only to discover it was leaning against the wrong wall. Continue reading
