Give yourself NO other Choice!

It sounds really strange, that after I posted about your having a choice, I’m back again just the second day to give yourself no other choice. Even I am amused at the paradoxical nature of both statements. I think you can find the clue in the last line of the last post though. Yes, you have a choice, but success demands that you quit yourself of all other options but one most of the times. When a goat is chased to the wall, it bites. When you are flat on your back and are are your lowest point, usually, the only other direction to go is up! I don’t know if you have been there, but there are some heights you will never experience until you have taken some major plunges. Continue reading

You have a choice!

I feel very sad at times when I get reports of what people pass through in some organizations. Is it people who cry almost everyday at work, or people who wake up with a headache every morning? People pass through a lot! Of what use is waking up early, sleeping late doing what gives you no fulfillment or sense of value? To make matters worse, it’s not likely you’ll see these people and be able to discern their problems, they have decided, that no matter how lightly dressed they are, they must wear their smiles. In the words of legendry Fela, “Suffering and Smiling” -”Everyday na the same thing”. Why do people pass themselves through this much? I posed the question, and the answer that seemed to keep coming back to me was different forms of, “I have no other choice for now!” What??!! Continue reading

Serendipity – Fact or Fiction

Have you come across the word serendipity before? I tried searching for it on dictionary.com today, and discovered that they did not have the word? (Later discovered I was looking for serependity rather than serendipity :) ) I kept searching other sources and I was able to get a definition at wikipedia. This defines seredipity as follows

Serendipity: to make discoveries, by accident and sagacity, of things not in quest of.

I knew the word serendipity as far back as when I was in secondary school, I read a book back then and it seemed the entire theme of the book was centered around that word. If I remember correctly, I think the title of the book even had serependity in it. It was a story of strange miraculous events happening within a hospital. The question on my mind this morning is, “Is serendipity real?” Is it possible to really make discoveries by accident and sagacity? By the way Sagacity means the quality of being discerning, sound in judgement, and farsighted. Do discoveries come the way of people not in search of them? I don’t agree do you? I am willing to be convinced. Continue reading

Before you make that move

“One doesn’t discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of the shore for a very long time.” Andre Gide

We had a mentorship session on Saturday the 25th of November. It was a really good time, we had lots of fun and we were able to be of help -’Gbenga Sesan and Myself. It was a bit dissappointing that some people who by requesting for seats ahead had caused others to be turned back from this session did not show up. I guess this further confirms that people will most likely only put their mouth where there cash already is committed.

Nevertheless, it was a rich and good session, and the common theme of the day was transition. It so happened that many people were contemplating making a move, and the gathering became an opportunity for people to ask questions and share experiences. At the end of the day knowledge was evenned across the room. You might be considering making a move, transitioning from where you are into where you feel you ought to be. You may be a bit confused, “should I, should I not?”, you may feel a little nervours, a little unsure of how secure the move is, you may suddenly discover you are afraid. Don’t worry, it’s not a road that hasn’t been travelled before. There are guidelines. Don’t learn from your own experience. Read this. Continue reading

IF…

Today, I had a lenghty discussion with a lady. We had talked a number of times. I had been on the recieving end of her thoughts, ideas and passions, even though we had never met. I saw her for the first time today, no!, not in the flesh, on yahoo :) . Strange world, you can talk to someone, see the person, share ideas, laugh together, plan ahead, without haven met. Back in the days, if you sat and spoke about it, the world would fear that you were going mad. Today, it’s only natural.

As I paid close attention to the details of her life, quizing her on to get something motivating and inspiring for you to read (Watch out for her Interview), little did I know that the interview was more than just for you, but even me as well. Continue reading

5 wrong assumptions about money.

Yesterday night, I was in Ibadan. I went to address a group of about 500+ enthusiastic students who wanted to know about “Christianity and Finance”. I went in the company of two trusted friends, Deji Olatunde and Tope Ogunfayo. I wondered in my heart whether these students were ready for what they asked me to come talk to them about. I titled my presentation the combination(or key) that opens the vault. I also appealed to them to write down what they heard for two reasons.

1. The shortest pencil is longer than the longest memory.

2. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. When the student is not ready, he/she should take notes, because we can all look and not all see.

There is a sequence of activities that if gotten right can make anybody rich. This is the combination or key. This combination opens the vault of financial abundance. Continue reading

Second Step to Abundance

Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.- Jesus Christ (John 12: 24)

I have been ruminating over this thought now for some days, and the more I think of it, the more it strikes me. Your seed will remain a seed and no more until it is put to use. What is your seed? Your seed is anything you have on the inside of you that has the capacity to produce much more. Your seed is that idea you have, that potential you have, that small cash you have, that skill that you have, that opportunity, that is your seed. What particularly interests me is the fact that until it is put into the earth, until it is utilized within this realm, it remains alone, a seed and no more. So why is your seed lying around? Before you Start Your Own Business

I met a friend in church yesterday, who told me he was seriously considering leaving his employment with one of the reigning brands to soujorn into full time self employment. I looked him in the eye and told him he should make sure that he was ready. He told me he was, and went on to talk about how he feels that he would put some investments in place, to secure his backside and progress into managing his consulting concern. I smiled, how ignorant we all are of what it takes to survive in another world. If you are currently employed and you want to unlock the padlock on the slippers of your life and risk the odds, I have some little advice for you. Continue reading
