Becoming a Genius- Revealed!

You have what it takes to be a genius, and it might surprise you that it has been discovered scientifically that there is a way to be exceptional. What I am about to write may really sound absurd, but I urge that if you practice it, you will discover that you’ll begin to stand out in ways you have never imagined.

A study of the human brain has shown that most of the discoveries about the human brain in the last 10yrs have been much more than ever discovered. Scientists have also come to agree, that what is theoretically known about the brain is much less than 5% of what needs to be known. In a series of analysis however, some laws were hypothesised, and corroborated as theories. You can become a genius, you only need to know how. Continue reading

Jumpstart Your Career or Business

Last week Thursday, I had the priviledge and opportunity of speaking to a number of entrepreneurs and entrepreneur wannabes about ecommerce. While the talk took about 2hrs, I discovered that there was a meaty part of the entire gist that was not on the content for ecommerce.

I was amazed at how many people do not know or remain unaware about how easily they can jumpstart their business and career by becoming more visible. While in paid employment I remember that I had read and come to know that one of the best things you can do for your career is become more visible. The corporate world does not favour the timid souls, promotions are not regular callers to people who bury their head in work and only take it off to go home. Visibility is important, the people that matter must know that you do what you do, and do a good job of doing it. Visibility is key. In internal selling, which is basically getting internal alignment and management sponsorship for your ideas, visibility is key. Visibility in the corporate internal environment involves understanding the use of email, one on ones, meetings and almost every opportunity to toot your horn, without blowing it. Continue reading

What do Women WANT?

Hahahaha…If you know the answer then I think the floor is yours. I remember Mel Gibson’s movie titled “what women want”, the answer according to the film was “mind readers!”. To be able to answer that question according to the film, you need to have gone through some kind of experience that makes you able to read ladies’ thoughts. But is that really true? Are women really that complex? In case you are wondering if this is any of your business, let me quickly remind you a few cogent facts.

1. It’s not only men that ask, what do women want :) Some women wonder what other women want as well, women get along more with men (true?). (Women here is used generally for girls, ladies and women)

2. Whoever you are, it’s either you have women as customers, colleagues, direct reports or superiors. If you don’t know what they want, you might be getting fried :) Continue reading

Interview with a 17yr Old Webdeveloper

When I did this interview 9 days ago, I had no idea that I was interviewing a 17yr old. I discovered him on the net via a site where I saw webdevelopers being rated, I saw he had very good ratings and had good turnaround times, I also saw he was Nigerian, and decided to check him out. He showed reluctance to being in limelight (reminded me of myself growing up). We discussed it and he finally agreed.

He is a young guy, and he is doing well for himself. I believe this will be a lot of encouragement for young people and older people who need a little prodding to go ahead and start now, it’s no longer early, but today is the earliest it can ever be! He already has a footprint in today’s global market. You can catch more gist about him on his blog. I like his passion for developing himself. If we apply same to our lives, we’ll surely make a difference. Continue reading

The Laws of Success 2

If you haven’t read about the first article on the laws of success, I suggest that you start from there. We started by laying a foundation about the existence of laws and how wether we believe in their existence or not, they control reality.

While I do not judge myself yet the authority on this feild, I have learnt some things from some people and advice that the books and thoughts of Anthony Robbins, Ken Blanchard, Napoleon Hill and so many others before me :) are worth reading. I’ll be writing about 8 laws today. Before you delve into this, I’ll like to state clearly upfront that success is not the result of blind steering but concious effort. All successful people applied themselves to get to where they are, so if these laws look difficult, it’s because they were possibly meant to discourage timid souls from venturing. Continue reading

The Laws of Success

Please don’t mind if the title sounds very academic. I have been a student of laws for some time now, and have made my own discoveries, one of the first things I have learnt is that laws are not invented, they are discovered. Not many years ago, legend has it that a man by the name Isaac Newton sat under an apple tree after days of reading, thinking and searching. As he sat under the apple tree, something happened to him, an apple dropped on his head :) . Suddenly he connected it, and that was the birth of the law of gravity, that law states that “every particle in the universe attracts every other particle with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.” Now if you never studied science, that might take an effort to understand. In lay man’s terms everything that goes up comes down until it’s as far as the moon :) There are many physical laws, and all these have in their own ways changed human behaviour and essentially the world. Hopefully someday soon, I’ll write about the laws of motions and how they affect us physically and interpolate to affect us more than physically. Continue reading

30 Days Trial – Day 29

At last, my 30 Days trial is coming to an end. I’m excited that I have been able to keep up with it despite all odds. I actually started this exercise exactly 60 days go, since then I have had to restart the 30 day trial all over again three times because I had absent mindedly taken a bite of meat at different times. Today however is the second to the last day of this exercise.

I remember some people started with me with different things back then, I hope you have continued and seen the trial to an end. I’m so glad I didn’t give up, and have been able to finish. Believe me, the last 60 days have really been interesting for me.  Continue reading
